Week of April 13-19 a Week of New Beginnings and Endings

The New Beginnings

Jargalant Branch (The Happiness Branch) had another family baptism!
The Family of Bat-hoyig have been taking the lessons for about 6 to 7 weeks.
It was touching to hear their testimonies tonight after their Baptism and
how they described the changes that have come into their lives since investigating the
Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints.

Sister Oyunbileg, (the wife and mother) described how they use to be shepherds but moved
to Ulaanbaater about 10 years ago.  Since then their life has been really hard.
Both she and her husband had a hard time with cigarettes and alcohol.
They were always arguing and fighting.
Lately it had been really hard at home and she wanted a divorce.
They then heard from a friend about the church and how the friends family was happy.
They decided to call the people their friend told them about which was the missionaries.
Now, they read the Book of Mormon every night and were praying as a family
for her husband to be able to give up drinking and cigarettes.
Their prayers were answered with peace in the home.
The children are doing better in school.
The father was able to overcome his word of wisdom problems.
WE KNOW HEAVENLY FATHER HEARS AND ANSWERS PRAYERS
AND LOVES ALL OF HIS CHILDREN!

Endings to a Great Mission
We had another Senior Couple go home this week.
We will truly miss Elder and Sister Stewart!
They showed us what it means to follow our Savior through all of their acts of
Service and Charity.
They were always doing, serving and thinking of others.
They are great examples of always being positive and grateful.
We will truly miss them, and their friendship.
We wish them all good things as they return home to Lethbridge Canada!
Elder Stewart was our Mission Doctor.
He was very professional, caring, and kind.
Always concerned about others and always complimenting and seeing the best in others.

Dr. Stewart is an amazing photographer.
He is most comfortable behind the camera, not in front of it.
Elder and Sister Stewart were instrumental in helping the Deaf to Hear in Mongolia.
The made it possible for 10 Deaf people to receive Cochlear Implants.
What a great legacy of love they leave here in Mongolia
The rug they are holding was made here in Mongolia and was given
to them by the deaf community.

It was Zone Conference on April 19.  What a great looking bunch of Missionaries!
It was evenly divided between the numbers of Elders and Sisters.
All of these missionaries do a great job of teaching, obeying and
bringing the Light of the Gospel to the people of Mongolia.

Scripture for the week:
Alma 30:44 ...The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.
