Pictures of our everyday life

Not much has happened this week, so I thought I would share pictures of
what we see and hear and experience in Mongolia.
This is a beautiful sunrise.  The sun is coming up later now.
It starts out dark when we go for our morning walk/run.

Drainage canal.  Water and Garbage are a big problem here.
This is the river parkway.  It goes for a couple of blocks
and was paid for by the American Embassy.
I use to go walking every day here, but because of road construction I can no longer access it safely.
Typical shopping experience.
All of the local vegetables and fruits are available now so it is great.
Candy and dried fruit
Dried yogurt, margarine, butter

Household supplies

They must have had a good crop of pine nuts this year.
There are a lot of street vender's selling these.

It is very typical to see people selling out of their trunks, anything and everything
Traffic has not got any better in UB
You take your life in your hands when you cross the street.
Notice the green walk sign and the cross walk.
The driver's never yield to a pedestrian, even when it is the pedestrians turn to go.

This is the couple that lives in our building's stair well.
They do an excellent job of cleaning the stairs and the outside of the building
and gathering up the thrash.

We love the missionaries!  They are all great!
This is Elder Gansukh and Elder Erickson.
Elder Gansukh's mother passed away last week.
I am grateful for his testimony and willingness to serve the Lord under the most trying of circumstances

Fall is now here.  The leaves are changing and it is definitely colder.

Scripture of the week: D&C 88:119 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;
